Biography

Background: Although I was born in Denver, Co, I have lived in the Moundridge community my entire life. My parents, sister and one brother and their families also live in the area, and my youngest brother and his family live in Oklahoma. My husband saw my senior picture hanging in the photographer's window and asked me for a date. We have been married nearly 34 years. Blessed with two wonderful sons we also have two beautiful daughters–in–law and two precious grandchildren. My calling to ministry came in mid–life and I have been so blessed with wonderful opportunities. Walt Friesen, the chaplain at the time, was retiring and asked if I would consider taking his position at Bethesda. I met with Linda Peters. CEO, and was invited to serve here. It has been such a blessing to work in a place with a warm, homelike atmosphere.

Personal Interests: Reading, cooking and baking, and visiting with all kinds of people are things I find enjoyable. I love music and recently purchased an autoharp, which I hope to learn to play well enough to use at our sing–a–longs. Being a grandmother is great fun, and I love spending time with family, immediate and extended.

Why Bethesda Home?: Bethesda is a lovely community. The people are warm and friendly, residents and staff both. Community is a gift from God, and I feel blessed to be a part of this community of Bethesda.
