Biography

Background: As a Kansas native I have lived most of life in central Kansas except briefly in Topeka after graduation from nursing education. I am married to Frankie Ashley. We have two married sons. My work history includes both acute care and physician office nursing. After being “home with the boys” I entered long term care nursing in 1989. I began working for Bethesda Home in 1991 as a charge nurse. In 1994 I accepted my current position of Assistant Director of Nursing.

Personal Interests: I enjoy traveling. Exploring Kansas is a favorite weekend activity. My license plate could read,” I brake for museums.” Hills and mountains whether – the Flint Hills in Kansas, the “Rockies” or the Ozark mountains are welcome respites. I also enjoy needle work and reading.
