Construction Underway
We were pleased to receive the "okay" from the Kansas State Department of Aging, and the Kansas State Fire Marshal to begin construction of our "Building Community and Changing Lives" capital campaign.
Preferred Builders of Hesston, Kansas is the contractor who will be doing the work for this project. They built our Special Care Unit in 2000 and we continue to be very impressed with their work, and the ways that they have already helped us keep costs down.
Our architectural drawings have changed a little since we last circulated them to the public. This was partly a result of state requirements and also a response to feedback from our staff and residents. We invite you to visit, look at the new plan, and see the progress.
Construction is underway on the east side of our facility, with the addition of some new rooms and necessary remodeling work. New construction has also begun to the south of our facility. Weather continues to dictate which area gets work and when.
