Biography

Background: I grew up in Newton but have lived most of my married life here in rural Goessel. I have one brother who also lives in this area, as well as my parents. I married Darrel Schroeder in 1976. I have three children: Nicholas, Becky, and Devin, all of who have worked at Bethesda in the past or presently. I started working at Bethesda in 1980, although my last long period has been since 1987, since I did not work here when Devin was born. I have worked as Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Education Coordinator, Payroll and Accounting, and currently work as Director of Nursing. I feel that Bethesda is part of my family.

Personal Interests: I enjoy reading, horsebackriding, and going to movies. I love to travel, and have been to Finland twice to see one of our exchange students and her family. I enjoy having exchange students in our home, having had 5 of them since 1994. I love spending time with my family and with my friends.

Why Bethesda Home?: I have felt very privileged to have the love and support of my Bethesda family, and hope that I can give many more years of service to Bethesda.
